Problems started in the middle of May when the investigative show Carte Blanche aired an episode featuring an alleged Crypto investment scam, and Sebasa’s name came up.

The SABC made a decision to suspend the actor from his drive-time show host at the station.

The SABC’ Group Executive Corporate Affairs and Marketing said that Mohale is being afforded an opportunity to resolve issues raised in the recent broadcast pertaining to his personal business dealings.

Mogale then made a statement that he posted on his Instagram denying the allegations made against him.

In the statement, the actor mentions that he did his own due diligence before he decided to take up being a Network Marketer. He said that in all of his presentations, he never coerced or forced anyone to sign up, and always told people to do their own research.

He further said that he doesn’t own a cryptocurrency company and that when the Carte Blanche show first approached him with the Crypto scan inquires he gave them all the clarifications and details.

Sebasa also mentioned that the show omitted some of his responses when they aired the episode on the 15th of May 2022.

Reports of a man opening a case against the actor surfaced days later. It is alleged that a man by the name of Sello Bonoko opened a case of fraud against Mohale alleging that he defrauded him of R200 000 in 2020.

Reports claim that more people have come forward since. Daily Sun reported that 5 new cases were opened against Mohale claiming that they invested.

Reports claim that over 140 people including some Thobela FM listeners lost their savings.

According to Sebasa’s released statement, advertisements that were placed on the radio station at SABC’s Thobela FM had a clear disclaimer that encouraged them to consult their financial advisers.

Mohale’s legal representatives have come out saying they are aware of the baseless accusations against the actor.

Sebasa is one of the beloved Doctors at Turfloop Hospital and his colleagues were shocked. Inno Sadiki who portrays Sthoko on Skeem Saam reached out on his Instagram expressing her shock over the news.
